The first part of the itinerary counts visit to Monte Nuovo volcano, the youngest volcano in Europe, formed in 1538. The nature of the volcanic cone and the perfectly preserved crater are representative of the volcanic activity of Campi Flegrei. The volcano is covered with dense vegetation in a native Mediterranean shrub to which overlaps a pine forest. There is side of the crater fumarolic activity evident. Skirting the crater, then you’ll descend towards the Averno crater lake through the historical vineyards, enjoying privileged points of observation on Campi Flegrei. Along the route you will be carried out interpretation of nature and landscape.

The visit will continue to Vineyard Town Mirabella, of Emilio Mirabella, which covers an area of four hectares along the north-eastern crater of Averno Lake. Exposure to the west and the microclimate, created by the presence of water of the lake, make this vineyard particularly suited to the production of quality grapes. The greater variety of grapevine in Vineyard Town Mirabella are pedirosso ,among those dark fruit, and falanghina, among those white fruit.
