Walk from Piazza Dante to Piazza Trieste e Trento

The tour gives Italian and foreign visitor the opportunity to discover an unusual aspect of the city , its literary attitude.

The path is developed around the central via Toledo, the main street of the city that since ‘600 was the meeting point of intellectuals from different places and cultures, without neglecting popular areas such as the Pignasecca.

Through the voices of excellent visitors (such as Leopardi, Dumas, De Sade, Casanova…), who carried out a cultural debate across all Europe, the city shows its magnificence in terms of literature, music, philosophy and historiography.

The visit twill deal on the historical, literal aspect rather than the architectonical one, with a focus on the local intellectuals (G.B. Vico, F. De Sanctis, M. Serao ,G. Marotta) who have shown us an inner portrait of the city but always avoiding common places.
